What makes these homes so unique is that they are all single story homes and they all have large lots compared to the average tract home. The eight homes that I am reporting on which goes back as far as six months, have lot sizes ranging from 8,875 - 14,875 sq. ft. With most new construction homes these days you would be hard pressed to find a lot as big as even 8,875. Since Lennar is a national home builder in 18 states, they are able to keep the costs of upgraded features low and include them in their base model homes. Although you can upgrade things like carpet and tile work, there are plenty of features that come standard in their homes. So don't plan on paying an additional $50,000 - $75,000 to get your new home to look like one of their model homes. On north west corner of Barstow and DeWolf is Pasa Tiemp Park, a four acre park that cost $1 million to build. I recently spent three hours there with my kids and it has great play structures that caused them to kick and scream when I said it was time to go home. On the north side of Barstow is a grove of orange trees. There isn't much downstairs other than the kitchen, living area and a half bathroom. The one negative thing I saw about the floor plan was that the half bathroom is situated very close to the kitchen. It seems like it would have been best if the bathroom was right near the front entrance rather than close to where food is prepared, etc. Overall, I like product of these Wilson homes.
