The school was named after Clarence Todd Clark, a Clovis Union High School District trustee from 1922 to 1928. Its location is the original site of Clovis High School.

The school opened in 1969. This was the first C.U.S.D. school designed to directly teach 7th and 8th graders. It played a vital role in moving from elementary to high school.

Meux Home Museum

The impressive two-story edifice has artfully composed roofs that thrust skyward from the second story. It was built in 1889 by Dr. Thomas Richard Meux. He began his medical practice in 1889, working for the rest of his life as a doctor from his office and home.

For 80 years, the Meux home was continuously occupied by the members of the Meux Family. Dr. Meux passed away in 1929 at the age of ninety-one. His daughter stayed in the house until her death in 1970. After that, the home was acquired by the city of Fresno. It is presently open to the public as the Meux Home Museum.

The Meux Home Museum offers a guided tour that lasts from about 1 hour to 1 ½ hour. While photography is prohibited inside the residence, you are free to take pictures outside. The full guided tour comes with a very detailed explanation of the house by the curator, who dresses exactly how they did in the Victorian times.
